HD Continuous Transfer

High quality and cost effective.  This service starts by delicately hand-cleaning all of your film.  During the cleaning process the sprocket holes are examined and repaired if necessary.  Small 50' reels are spliced together onto larger reels for ease of transfer and archiving.

The film is then transferred at a continuous frame rate of 20 fps directly to our computer systems in HDV format.  This is 1440x1080 resolution at 4:2:0 color sampling and 25Mbps bitrate.  The footage is then edited to remove blank spots and leaders.  We then create a final 1920x1080 Blu-ray disc and a standard DVD.  The raw HDV files are saved to BD-ROM for you to archive and/or edit.  You may also ask to have your raw files transferred to hard drive instead of BD-ROM  (hard drive must be provided by you or purchased separately from us).
